In Spain March 19 is San Jose (Father’s Day). March 21 is Persian Norouz (New Year) -and the new year Naw Ruz of the Baha’i and Passion Sunday for Christians. March 21 is South African Human Rights Day.

March 24 is Ramanavami for Hindus while March 25 is the date of the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary. March 25 celebrates Greek independence from Turkish occupation.

The Zoroastrians observe this date as Khordad Sal, Birth of Prophet Zaranhushtra. March 29 is Mahavir Jayanti for the Jain. March 30 is special for Jehovah’s Witnesses as the day of the Lord’s Evening Meal. Hindus celebrate Hanuman Jayanti on this day and March 30 is also Magha Puja Day for Buddhists. The days of March 30-31 are the Pesach (Passover) observed by those of the Jewish faith.
